Reiki Explained
For me Reiki has to be natural.
Most discuss Reiki in terms of therapy. A classic, ‘lets look into the problem’ once it’s already full blown response. But Reiki was originally presented as a way of living your life. One more in tune with the natural order. One that was preventative and not just a ‘fix it’ solution. The healing of the hands approach is real. No doubt. But it’s only 10% of the practice.
My Reiki practice changed my life. My Kung Fu and meditation practice both improved with the ability to let go and give in. What we are talking about here isn’t a separate healing type energy that we have to become blessed with. We are all blessed with it, whether you are aware of it or not. It’s part of our DNA.
We don’t have to believe in Reiki or even practice it to receive its benefits. Like I said, it’s a natural phenomenon. To be conscious and sensitive is to benefit with the upmost potential. To ignore these features limits us. It’s all a percentage game. How often are you conscious? How often are you not?
Much like my Kung Fu practice, I think of Reiki in terms of sensitivity training. The more sensitive I am the better. When working from an energetic level, I believe discernment is a very powerful tool. Reiki should improve your quality of life, period. How you apply it is up to you.
